Meditation?
Do any of you folks practice meditation to enhance your shooting or your general well-being ? Any particular resources you’d recommend? I did a quick search for guided meditation on YT and tried 3 or 4 videos that had “background “ music so loud that it obscured the dialogue; pretty disappointing experience. All suggestions welcome.
Re: Meditation?
May not be Meditation as such but this works on the line to lower match stress.

Re: Meditation?
I found chapters 8 and 9 in Nancy Tompkins book, Prone and Long Range Rifle Shooting, very helpful. 8 is Mental and Visual Training and 9 is Relaxation Techniques.

Keep in mind, after achieving your Zen-like-state in practice, once you get to the match, they'll have Rolling Stones blaring. And as soon as you're deep into "Paint It Black," they shut your nervous system down by playing Village People.
Frankly I'm considering smoking Opium during sight-in.
Re: Meditation?
Use phone apps or download free meditation mp3. To start with I would recommend the Headspace app.
