I’m looking to upgrade gear for my daughter (15 yo, sophomore, basically as tall as she will get) and wanted to get options from people more experienced than myself.
She currently shoots an Anschutz 1903 Junior rifle and has an off the rack jacket and trousers.
I would like to upgrade both, but I only plan to upgrade the rifle one time.
I’m considering going to a Capapie suit, and would love to go to a KK500.
I’m thinking in the interest of budget, I may go with only a new suit for now, and send the rifle off for ammo testing to maximize the potential for it.
Does the 1903 perform well enough to continue to invest time in? What are your options on the situation?
Thank you!

Re: Advice on Investment: Rifle vs Suit
IMO, fitted shooting clothing is much more important than the rifle.
I think your plan to get the rifle ammo tested is a good one.

Jamie,
Do you have any thoughts on the fit of the suit in conjunction with the ergonomics of the 1903 and then switching to the KK500 with it’s almost infinite amount of stock adjustments if Mr. Bean goes with the suit first?
Bob
P.S. We here have nicknamed you Ol’ Lightning Rod since nobody has been struck since you left.

Boy ... the JR rifle is >>SMALL<<.
How does it fit her .... is she scrunched up behind it?
It can be accurate, but I'm not a huge fan of the 64 action.
If she is scrunched up, then an upgrade to a 54 action gun is a thought.
KK500 is great for a womans fit ... now & in the future.

All that said ... good fit on the suit is important, and even though you think she will not grow taller, she will grow in other dimensions ... especially after high school.
If she has designs of shooting afer HS many of the teams will get her a new suit then.
My advice ... as above mentioned
Get her a good fitting suit and then look for maybe a used rifle ... many will come up after Feb after the NCAA collegiate championships
