I have been experimenting with the placement of a red-dot sight (small lightweight red-dot sight - not a tube type) on a pistol. It appears that the farther to the rear the sight is - the better the target hold. Conversely, the more forward, the more target wobble.
Anyone experience this or have comments regarding proper sight placement?

Red-dot placement on pistol

Re: Red-dot placement on pistol
It is my opinion that you see your wrist movement more with a dot tube placed forward. Therefore you are forced to hold more steady. I choose as forward a position as I can until balance and muzzle weight go bad.
