Howdy,
Just a quick note to thank TJ and Alex for the great info on the failure to feed problems I had with my IZH Baikal. The spring fix did the trick. Also, I ran the Russian "Junior" ammo (a buck a box) and the Yugoslavian "Valor" ammo (75 cents a box) thru the weapon with no problems.
Thanks folks! (several posts to follow) ...

Re: IZH-35M joy/Junior ammo
Glad to help. Now go get a spare thumb cause you will need it. I use a piece of hard plastic between my thumb and the follower pin to load the mag.
Another bit of advice, this gun will shoot anything. High Velocity rounds will not hurt it at all in spite of what others may think. This gun is a tank. Just keep the ejector and firing pin clean with squirt of powder solvent about every 500 rounds and it will function perfectly.
And take it apart for a good scrubbing every 2000 rounds.
This gun is the best price/performance firearm you will ever find!
