Air Tank 2

Post by conradin »

OK, I need more info about the scuba tank (cylinder).
I can get an air generator (for plumbing air to the car tires) whether I can get one, using the gas station one, or my neighbors one (which is my prefer choice).
Does anyone know what sort of accessories I need in order to pump air (such as using the gas station pump )into my scuba tank? So is there a way to convert? Also I need an air gauge so that I can stop once the air reaches to 200 bar.
If you know of such convertor, would you be so kind as to send me a link so that I can purchase from whatever website that has these things for sale?

What's the maximum output pressure of the air generator?

My guess is that it will be nowhere near 2900psi.

Hello-

David is exactly right!

A car tire generator will not produce enough pressure to fill an air pistol/rifle cylinder. If you must use that type of compressor, you will need a booster. There is only one left on the market:

You would be much better off to buy a dive cylinder at your local dive shop, and have them fill it.

You need 850 psi to have enough for 1 shot, 2950 for a tank fill.
Shop compressors are 120 psi.

Are you the same Conradin that has been on this board for a decade?

Air venturi. I don't know anything about this unit, other than it's domestic & has reviews.
(And it's on Amazon Prime, so you can ship the thing back after it blows you up.)

Personally, I trust my scuba shop.

Found a scuba shop next town. But I do appreciate the input, now I know it is possible to buy a electric air compressor. I'll stick with Scuba for now.
