It sounds like the circuitry was damaged in the process of changing the lever. Easy enough to do if you are in a rush.

I think, a national team at the size of India and with such great expectations, should have a very competent technician in the olympic delegation, sitting very close to the Russian coach.

Secondly, why not an athlete at the level of Manu B. has two identical pistols (not a spare one). I may sound ridiculous but considering the efforts put for an olympic medal, I cant help saying, why not. Though, not sure whether it is possible to configure both pistols identically so that they will feel the same.
