Rika trainer - zero drift issue

Post by jeepfan »

Hi folks,

I have an old RIka trainer system, and I'm experiencing a progressive 'zero' drift towards the left as the match progresses. To the point that I sometimes run out of clicks on my 80-clicks rear sight! Anyone here as ever experienced something similar, and if so, what did you do to solve it? Thanks in advance.

The first I would look at is the sensor mount and check it isn't moving.

If that is OK, then how does the Rika Trainer work, does it use infrared light?
As I understand it, the older Scatt system uses infrared and I have experienced zero drift/changes if there is changing sunlight in the room you where you are training (enough to move the zero out to the edge of the target). Solution, train with the curtains pulled!
Cheers
