That little Chinese scope is excellent if you value compactness over almost everything else. I have one and use it in my basement range.
I also have a Kowa TS-201 with a 45 degree zoom eyepiece. This is a 50mm scope and the light gathering is of course proportional to the square of the objective diameter.
If I could own only one scope it would be the Kowa. Champion SHooters Supply has been the lowest price place to buy, although I have not checked lately.

I have a very inexpensive BSA 12-36 50MM (less than $100.00 ) that works just fine at 10 meters.
It has a 45 degree eyepiece and a rotating mounting collar.
Beware that some of the newer models won't focus down to 10 meters.
I think I spent more on the bipod stand than the scope :)

Ditto on the Kowa but get the 20x eyepiece only. You'll never use it over 20x. Before I got the kowa i tried a chinese scope from champ. choice. Seems to me the biggest problem with these is that sometimes you win sometimes you loose but you need to buy it to find out.

I don't use it over 20x much, but the zoom eyepiece was advertised to have a longer eye relief and I am a glasses-wearer. Since I bought by mail, I could not compare the two eyepieces to verify whether the advantage of the zoom lens is real.

That is good info. I did notice that the eye relief is a bit short on the fixed 20x. I cut some of the skirt of the rubber eyecup off and that made it easier to use for me. It is a little short on eye relief though.

I use Kowa TS-501s, and they're great. I paid $157.00 at Champion's Choice. Lightweight and good light gathering.
