Grouping follow the sun ?

Don Nygord used to say grouping follows the direction of sun due to reflection off front sight edge, shifting front sight in that direction, thus grouping follows in that direction. While many others said no effect. https://starreloaders.com/edhall/nwongm ... urvey.html

But my own experience while shooting at dusk, right before sun set on west, my grouping invariably moved to the RIGHT, AWAY from the sun.

What gives?

My groups tend to follow phases of the moon ...

This is why somebody invented the "Front sight hood". Lever Action Rifles come into mind.

and why I never understood 2.10.5.(DSB/ISSF) What is so wrong with protecting something?
