i'm new to AP; am starting out shooting a 604 .. was wondering what i have to do for maintenance (i'm used to putting a couple drops of oil on old Crossman guns - 604 is new to me)

do NOT use oil on the 604! it will degrade the O-rings in short order.
occasionally (like once-a-year), if you can strip it down to get to the O-rings, use silicone grease only.
