Biggest problem with broken Electronic triggers has been owners.
90% of the repairs have been leaking batteries and corroded boards.
Old cheap batteries left in pistols too long.
Biggest problem with mechanical triggers has been owners with allen keys and screwdrivers..

So true. So true.David M wrote: ↑Thu Apr 30, 2020 2:23 am Biggest problem with broken Electronic triggers has been owners.

I now admit my past guilt so now leave triggers, both electronic and mechanical, alone.
My new P8X has a trigger so wonderful that I'm sure that nothing can be achieved by any form of adjustment.
My 12 year old 162EI Short similarly has not been adjusted since it left the factory - and it is powered by the factory-recommended , leak-proof Varta batteries.
Unfortunately, my EVO10E has just suffered at my ham-fisted approach to removing & changing the grip. Despite watching the Steyr factory video, I still managed to somehow damage the electronic cable so need a replacement. :)
I do take some consolation that this must be a fairly regular occurrence as Steyr, in their grip changing video, stressed several times that this cable is available as a spare part.

I'd have to say i agree with Leon about the P8X trigger. It lets go with such a sublime feeling.

Yep, did that - managed to pinch the wire replacing the grip on Steyr EVO.
Two solutions I tried (one didn't work).
Working solution: Get replacement from Pilk - done.
Didn't work: Same wire from some electronic store online (about $1.98 each). Difference: Your wire plugs must mirror each other (the white ended wire from Pilk). The black-ended wires are "symmetrical" - for lack of a better description - don't work.
Pictured (sorry the pic kinda sucks):

I too have a replacement on it's way.
I'm thinking about getting some clear plastic tube ( 3 or 4mm) cutting it to the same length as the EVO10E cable, and threading the cable through it. The logic being the clear tube will protect the thin & delicate looking wire.
What does everyone think?
Good, or stupid, idea?

A heat shrink tube would be my second option.
The first would be, not to pinch the wires! ;)
More serious now, I'm not sure the grip has enough space inside to acomodate a more inflexible option...
