Didn't the X-Racer have an aluminium baseplate? I think Grunig omitted a few of the bells & whistles, like the dry fire mechanism maybe. I have in mind that there was no extension tube as standard.

Based on an old Japanese article from IWA 2012 and a 2012 Grunig catalogue. X Racer was the "budget" version of the Racer World Champion (renamed from Racer Linear and then Racer). The bedding block and sight rail were changed from steel to aluminium, no top loading port, no ejector (but available as an upgrade), and came with the simplified XRS stock.

R3 had the following copied and pasted from the translated article:

The barrel diameter at the connection part with the assembly was made thicker to reduce barrel vibration.
Currently, the Racer Action is sold using a barrel made by Lilja in the United States, but in the future, they will be conducting firing tests not only with Lilja barrels but also with barrels made by other companies in the United States.

・Bolt
It seems that improvements have been made to the small details to make the bolt operation smoother.
In addition, two types of shims of different thicknesses for adjusting the head space are included as standard accessories (one is attached to the bolt from the beginning, so there are a total of three), so you can set up the head space to your preference. You can also
adjust it depending on the bullet you are using. You can also choose a shim that has good grouping as a result of testing.
Or you can replace the shim with an emphasis on the operability of the bolt handle.
The bolt safety has also been moved from the bolt body to the base of the bolt handle.

Firing pin:
The firing pin has been made lighter to shorten the lock time from when the trigger falls to when it fires.

Bearing system: Trigger:
Three mini ball bearings have been built into the trigger unit to make the trigger move more smoothly.
This allows for a more stable trigger pull that lasts longer.
This mini ball bearing system is supplied by Morini.

Bedding block: By making the block
slightly larger, it is more resistant to twisting, and it also matches better with the CS stock, which I will introduce next.
