How Many Air pistols Do You Own / Morini 162M or LP500

Post by Timberwerks »

So, I'm thinking about adding another pistol to my collection. I'm thinking about the 162M or a LP500, leaning more towards the Morini. Thoughts?

Also, do any of you own multiple air pistols even though it's more of a serious hobby for you vs being a competitive shooter?

A few years ago I bought a FWB P44. It was supposed to replace my Daisy 777. I still have both as well as a Daisy 747. I still shoot the 777 every now and again. I'm not really collecting them, they just never seem to leave.......

I've got four: A Morini 162, a Steyr LP50, an Aschutz LP@, and a Brno Tau-7. The Tau-7 is a loaner/trainer pistol for coaching, the LP50 is for practicing sustained fire. I've been competing with the Morini for eons, but picked up the LP@ for a good price as a "backup" pistol. I haven't had a chance to shoot it much, but with Nill Griffe grips, it feels pretty good.

I have two Steyr LP10's, FWB P34 Kürtz, FWB 103, FWB 80, IZH46M, Röhm Twinmaster All Rounder, Diana 5G, Diana P5 Magnum, and a Beeman P17. What really got me into airpistol shooting was the amazing accuracy and fun that can be had with these pistols, I can hone my skills within my house without going to the range. You only live once, (maybe) so if you've got the means, then go ahead and indulge yourself to all the airpistols your heart desires...

I like the Walther the best. It just feels perfect for me.

I have one. A Steyr LP10e. When I feel like it's holding me back I'll consider buying another.

Well, one more won't hurt right? I just ordered a Morini 162 with electronic trigger vs the mechanical I was considering at first. Just like with guitars, I appreciate craftsmanship and enjoy adding to the collection. I know they won't make me a better shooter or player however the appreciation remains the same.

Wow, my new Morini 162E just arrived, the quality is amazing! Question, is it ok to dry fire just by pulling trigger? Not having to pull back charging leaver feels so different vs mechanical trigger.

Yes. That is the advantage of electronic triggers...you do not have to cock them.

I'm really enjoying this 162EI! Now to get my scores back up with lots of practice. I took a 6 month break due to a pinched nerve. I'm still a little weak and unsteady but each week shows improvement .

I was in my pistol safe this afternoon & discovered I also have a FAS 6004 I'd forgotten about...

The 6004 was picked up cheap on an auction site. It was an early model, and had been abused to boot. I wanted to evaluate it as an entry level pistol for juniors.

After following the tune up instructions on the forum, it's not too bad. I think the cocking force is still a bit much for younger shooters. If a kid can cock it, it's a MUCH better pistol than the Crosman 2300T "target" CO2 pistols our club bought for their junior program.

You don't count. You're a textbook example of how outliers affect "median" vs. "mean".
