LP50: Grip Locking Rod - Different Sizes?

Post by RS. »

I recently purchased a used large grip to replace the XL I have on my LP50? It didn’t screw on easily and I’m thinking it’s because the grip locking rod is too long. Do these come in different sizes? If so which do I need to order for an Size large. Thanks.

It would be easier to try a shorter screw, if it doesn't tighten up properly. According to the parts list it's a M5 X35 , part no 50.
The grip locking rod is standard length on all grip sizes. Your L grip won't require a shorter grip locking rod compared to the XL.

Did a little more digging and found out that 2016 models have a newer 50mm locking rod vice the older 65mm which is what I have. (The grip channel on newer grips is 15mm shorter to match)
