Better check the rules and laws about rebuilding gun boxes ! There might be a 10 year limit on them.
Seriously now, I have my TOZ in a hard plastic gun case. A lot lighter to lug around.

Mine broke in a fall from my SUV. A little gorilla glue and some rather innovative clamping, and it's good as new (however good that is.)

I purchased a used Toz-35 case from Larry's just a few years ago for about $35. Shipping probably cost me just as much. While I realize he recently passed away, perhaps the store or whoever is helping to clear inventory may sell you one.
