FWB Model 2 tank filling

Post by canshooter »

Do the FWB model 2 CO2 tanks require a fill adaptor, if so is there a source to obtain one ?? I may have the opportunity to pick one up but won't if I can't fill the tanks.

You need an adapter. The part number is 1830.001.2. You can probably get one from FWB or a dealer.

I almost bought a Mdl 2 in the past month that also had no adapter. I found one on eBay from a Canadian seller ... It might still be available.

No affiliation BTW, just trying to help.

Beware: If you buy an used adapter, check that it comes with the filter, and the state of it.

Obviously, if you buy it new from FWB or other dealer, don't worry.

Almost every air pistol that shows up on an auction site seems to be missing its fill adapter. Probably mostly from estate sales, I guess. Even ones sold by the original owner have often collected dust for so long they can't find the adapter.

I suspect if we ever find out where the unmatched socks go from the washing machine, there will be a pile of fill adapters with them as well...

When setting up a new tank for my Model 2, I found it was necessary to open up the hole in the tank valve to 1/2" to accept the FWB filter.

These are available from Cibles Targets Canada at $50 Cdn

Also on EBay from them, under the name "Nikkonos"

I had to get my filter from them, arrived same week, and yes, had to open up the valve on my bulk tank also, be careful.
