Pardini SP barrel question

Post by j-team »

Has anyone here ever removed the barrel from the shroud on a late model Pardini SP?

Was just wondering if they are pressed in, glued in, or both?

Greetings,

There are several variations of the the Pardini barrels. The early ones had a "2mm clocking pin" visible at the rear of the shroud and these are press fit assemblies.

The latest Pardini barrels are held in place with "glue". It requires a fixture, heat, and a suitable arbor press to remove one. Not a job for the casual user.

For more exact information, contact PardiniUSA and speak with Emil or Vladimir.

Cheers,

Dave

Does anyone have the external dimensions for the 22 SP (glued in) barrel?
I'd like to make my own and the largest OD seems very close if not identical to some standard blanks but its tricky to measure exactly without removing.

Greetings,

There are two variations of the glue model that I know of.

It is best to remove the original barrel and reverse engineer it.

Cheers,

Hello j-team,

The barrels on SP models are glued in and the removal is generally a complicated process. I recommend that you have us complete this process to ensure it is done correctly.
