Pistol case maker

Post by joel »

Does anyone know who carries the cases that many of the air pistols and sport pistols come in such as the Steyr, Hammerli, etc... I've seen them with combination dials and sometimes just one or two latches. Anyone carry these in the USA?

TIA,

Joel

I've found that this case: http://www.pyramydair.com/s/a/ASG_Dan_W ... x9x18/4931

With the logo removed using acetone and lighter fluid, it is the same exterior case as used by Morini and Steyr for some of their air pistols. I bought one when looking for a case for my FWB 65. I ended up using it for my Steyr air pistol and it looks the part with replacement foam and a Steyr sticker on the top. I got the idea from this message board. I think it was from this thread: http://www.targettalk.org/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=55200

That's a nice case, but there is a company that has a bunch of choices and they are the major supplier for the higher end pistol makers. I had read about it here on TT a few years ago, but can't seem to find it. They offered many sizes and different closing mechanisms along with combo locks etc...

Thanks,

We attempted to buy a replacement case for an air pistol from Negrini USA, in 2015. The particular case that is used for air pistols is the- 2016 SEC. They were not interested in importing that particular case, then, due to economics.

Negrini USA's shipping is only free if you spend at least $200. If available, shipping for the $25- 2016 SEC case in the states would have been in the $30-$40 range. Any road, not a cost effective option. (Much cheaper to a commercial address, though.)

The Dan Wesson case is the same case. However, one does need to add in the cost of removing the logo and replacing the foam.

Alternatively, the Negrini 3038R will hold an air pistol, and all of one's extras, proper. Pricey, and heavier than an original case:

I went with this one:

$17.77 shipping so it was under $150 after all was said and done. It's a bit pricey, but it looks to be first rate for my Hammerli 215s.
