What OldCaster says of middle 60s revolver shooting is exactly what LtC Miller trained me on. Miller was a 50s BE shooter, Firing School certified in the late 50s.

I for one can not get into DA revolver use. Nor can I see the trigger pressure aid the sights. More I see that the trigger pressure must not mess up the sights. I do agree the GP100 is a good choice, but for real accuracy, the OMM is it

I can't think of a reason the N frame would be MORE likely to have a barrel restriction. I don't doubt that it might.

Really, buy the book. It's cheap and will answer ALL your questions. It really is quite good.

I had a Model 19 S&W that would pass a Range Rod of regular size. But the match size would stop solid at the barrel Pin.
Gun was not very accurate.
