The bolt sleeve, that is notched for the back-end of the firing pin, looked cracked (see attached file). The crack is at the end of the notch where the firing pin travels back and forth.
The rifle is firing fine. Has anyone seen this before? Should I fix it now? And how?

The sleeve is only cosmetic, and seems to serve no structural purpose, so it could be left as is. I'm sure it could be welded. It might be worth trying a 1913 sleeve.

I had this on my older 'X' rifle - it cracked all the way through.
It shot fine like that for many years.
Anschutz replaced it with a 19 series sleeve (I think) for a nominal fee and it still shoots fine.

The sleeves are interchangable. I cracked my daughter's 19 series amd just replaced it with my 16 series till a new one came. I think it was around $20 from Breznovich??
