Aiming for airrifle, pl help

Post by Jaspal »

Please help me!
I am an airrifle shooter.
Where should the eye be focussing while aiming-
1) On the target
2) The white between the front aperture ring and target
3) the aperture -trying to foccus equally around it
on 3rd point_ when i do this i dont see the target, thus over aim
pl tell me which would be the most presise way of aiming, enabling better results
please please help

Typically you want to focus on the front sight. The target will be slightly to moderately blurry. You can clean up the target appearance a little with shooting glasses and a small aperture. The correct sight picture appears to be the most important part of aiming. Being a tiny bit off in the sight picture makes you far off at the target, while being slightly off at the target makes much less difference. When you see a fuzzy target, you can still get the center in the center of your sights, by aiming at the center of the blur with equal parts of blur on either side.
