Straightening my Back in Offhand

Post by Andre »

My offhand air rifle position is pretty terrible, with a pretty bad bend in my back. It's been fine thus far but I've been starting to feel soreness during long matches, which goes away in a matter of minutes but now it's time to change it for the better.

My fore-end riser is maxed out to 3.9" and I have riser blocks also nearly maxed out. What can I do to straighten my back other than to use a fist grip on my support hand?

Im not sure raising the sightline changes the shape of your back. Moving the sights higher raises the head and rotates the head. A pic would help us all understand your problm

Is a straight back the best position? Holding the rifle centre of gravity over the legs would seem to be the best position and that needs flexibility.

As in another recent post, http://www.targettalk.org/viewtopic.php ... 46#p261429 improving core strength and flexibility through gentle exercise and physiotherapy might be more effective.
