Well, I've tried two things with my laptop but no success! I bought A Belkin USB to serial adapter and software. I tried it with 3.61 and 3.79 versions of the RIKA software but always the same message cannot find trainer check connections. I always made sure that the port in the software was configured the same as the adapter.
Then I spent $150 on a Socket brand COM Serial card. I removed the Belkin from the USB, Installed the card, configured port settings. tried it with both versions of the software but still the same error message. My RIKA works just fine on my Dell desktopn but not my laptop. I do not know what else to try but by now I've got close to $1,000 invested in the laptop and $1,000 in the RIKA. If anyone could help I would really appreciate it.
