Sig Sauer Pellets - BEWARE!
I took my FAS 6004 air pistol to the range yesterday. It would not fire the Sig Sauer Match Ballistic Alloy pellet (5.25gr). The cone is just slightly too large and I think the air charge will not send it down the barrel.
These pellets work fine on my IZH 46M and my Sig P226 .177.

So seat them before shooting.

The FAS 6004 lacks the oomph to send the pellets out. They work fine in my anemic Gamo Compact.

It's time to rename this thread to the real message:

"ballistic" and "alloy" don't play in the same league. Why shooting ALLOY pellets from a (kind of) match-gun??
Re: Sig Sauer Pellets - BEWARE!
Yup. discussed this at length in another thread.

I suspect that it is not an alloy pellet issue. That it is a pellet seating issue. Try seating them deeper and then let us know if it works. I made a pellet seater shown in the thread above and it has resolved my issues. Good luck.

Stick with lead pellets, you won't die (or cause global warming!).

Well, I try all the pellets I have to see which ones are the most accurate for my guns.Ulrich Eichstädt wrote:Why shooting ALLOY pellets from a (kind of) match-gun??

Ulrich, I think you are lost in translation. Alloy means “Legierung”, not “Aluminium”.
What SIGSauer is advertising as “ballistic alloy”, can be a metal mix of just about everything but with some “ballistic” added to it to make it sound better then “green”. The pressure of a FAS 6004 is to low to expand the skirt of such pellts. The pistol has the same problem with HN green pellets.
@mparker
Stay with conventional wadcutter pellets of whatever brand you like. Domed pellets are too heavy for the pistol.
