Pardini GPR1 - Trigger Weight Adjustment

Post by 177Bean »

I have recently taken delivery of a GPR1 Top & have been shooting with it for a few weeks now. I am extremely happy with the rifle, the build quality is second to none & I am already matching my previous PB scores.

One thing I am struggling with however is how to increase the second stage trigger weight. I've tried screw PA (as per the instruction manual - link below) but this doesn't really make any difference, which I'm guessing therefore it is for fine adjustments only.

I have tried adjusting screw CA 'fine adjustment of trigger engagement', according to the manual. I've given this a turn and it has slightly increase the weight, but when I turn it any further it is producing a creeping/jumping second stage.

There are two other adjustments shown in the instruction manual for BP & MP, but there is no explanation as to what these are for.

Link to the instruction manual (Page 8 shows the trigger adjusters) : -

If anyone is able to provide any assistance it would be very much appreciated.

I've taken a picture of the trigger mechanism.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how the weight could be increased ?
I'm thinking a slightly more substantial spring could offer some additional weight.

FYI - I got in contact with Pardini directly & they are providing me with some slightly heavier spring to try out.

First and second stage weights are directly related to each other on this rifle. To increase second stage weight you must also increase first stage.

BP and MP relate to velocity adjustment.

The ca screw alters sear engagement. An fwb 700 manual will give the best discription of how to adjust this correctly.
