Hello all,
I've read up on some forum posts that give written guides on how to modify a Daisy 853/753 stock trigger to a lower pull of 2 lbs. The stock pull is floating around 5 lbs. Does anyone know if a video of this process exists?
Also, handy tips for anyone looking to pick up a Daisy 753/853. Visit these websites: Tom Johnson's Sporter Tips and Daisy 753 Owner's Manual. I think these links are great at giving me visuals on how the gun is assembled.
But a video would definitely be awesome! As a note, this is the first time I would ever be opening an air rifle, or any kind of rifle for that matter. I wouldn't want to mess something up and break a part.

Just watch out for the tiny ball bearing and spring contained in the safety during disassembly--they can bounce out and magically vanish LOL!

I second the caution of the steel ball in the safety.
That was absolutely the hardest part of the mod, getting the darn safety back in. I chased that steel ball around the bathroom MANY times. Thankfully the vinyl floor of the bathroom made it easy to find the steel ball after it went flying, which is why I did the safety assembly in the bathroom.
Many times, I was tempted to just leave the safety out, to avoid the hassles with the steel ball.
PS, you NEED to wear safety glasses when you assemble the safety, to protect your eyes from that flying steel ball.
