We have finished week Eight of this Year’s Vermont Winter Postal League. Sutter Gold CA came in first overall, and in the Western Division, again this week with a 1581, and were led by, Jr, Darien Torrison who fired a 398 in 4-P . Plattsburgh was second, and first in the Northern Division, with a 1579 led by Paul Deslierres with a 397 in prone. Whitehall NY led by John Hollister 397 4-P and Barrington NH led by John Liska, 397 Prone, where tied for third place, and for first in the Eastern Division. New Holland PA, game in first this week in the Southern Division with a 1562, led by Paul Irvin who fired a 396, in 4-P. Albion PA game in first in the Central Division, with a 1576, led by Nathan Pavolko, who shot a 396, in 4-P.
After Seven weeks of shooting; Sutter Gold is in first with 1265pts; Plattsburgh second with 12623; Albion is in third with 12604 and Whitehall is in fourth with 12577pts. Our highest 4-P average is 396.86 belonging to James Cummings of Burlington, followed by Clayton Hanson of Jamestown, with a 396.50. Our highest Prone score is a 397.75 belonging to John LIska of Barrington NH, followed by Connor O’Mara with a 396.17. Our top standing average belongs to Andre Gross, of Rochester NY, with a 391.38, followed by Kelly Bogart of Roslyn with a 390 average.
This week’s Top shooters are Kelly Bogart, of Roslyn, with a 398 in prone, Darien Torrison with a 398, in 4 position and Kelly Bogart, Roslyn, and Mario Methot, of Plattsburgh, with a 391, in standing. Our Top Junior Shooters were Torrison, in 4-P, Andre Gross, 390, in standing and Andrew Visconti, of Plattsburgh, with a 392 prone. Oldest and Youngest Shooters. We are lucky in this league to have seasoned shooters competing right against our very young rising stars. Fred Cole at age 93, of Long Island, 388 prone average and Norbert Yakey, age 84, 392.12, 4-P average of Plattsburgh are still shooting some amazing scores. Our youngest shooters are Scotty Rockett, age 12 of South Carolina with a 382.75 average standing and Holly Visconti, age 10, of Plattsburgh with a 239.57 prone.
In All-Star Action this week the Eastern All-Stars fired a 1585 for three points over the Southern Division All-Stars who both fired a 1582.
