DIY "quick adjust" knobs for Anschutz 18xx and 19xx stocks?
The newer aluminum stocks like the Anschutz Precise allow the shooter to make a lot of adjustments without the use of tools. Anschutz offers a few knobs that can be installed on the 2213 series stocks that gives them more quick-adjust functionality.
The older 18xx and 19xx stocks aren't nearly as adjustable as the 21st century offerings, but I'm just curious if anyone has come up with DIY knobs for some of the adjustments such as the cheek piece height adjustment or the vertical / horizontal butt hook adjustment. (I've seen the A4767 knob that Anschutz sells for the 4762 hook, but I'm curious if I could come up with something cheaper at the local hardware store).
So, has anyone come up with creative hacks like this?

If you know the thread sizes this should be really easy...
Almost certanly between 3mm and 7mm...
I added a finger adjustable knob to my cheekpiece from a local ace hardware, but its not the same make and model you listed.

Get a hex head longer than needed and thread a wing nut on all the way. Lock tight the threads. Work great and if get stuck you can use a hexkey

Trax,
If yiu're thinking of being able to adjust the cheekpiece in position, bear in mind that it's spring loaded enough to smack you in the face when you loosen the bolt, but not enough that you can press down with your cheek (and not be too low).

Many different styles of quick adjust hardware to choose from. As far as I know, thread size is M5.

Spend the $25 at Champions Choices and don't look back, you wont regret it.
Every time I change my butt plate from prone to offhand, I wonder why I didn't buy the knob earlier.
