ISU 300m sights?

Post by artandscience »

Anyone know what sights were used for ISU 300m shooting?

I regularly shoot 300y/300m these days with my .308 match rifle and find my Warner sights (1/4 min) too coarse for the ISU target (it works, it's just not happy).

Typically you'll see either Warners/Phoenix/etc. with 1/8th minute clicks (if that's an option for the specific sights in question), or you'll see any of the Euro sights used for smallbore.

I thought that I might see smallbore sights.. I just wondered how robust they would be in holding up to .308 recoil.

They are an obvious choice.

Warner will sell you plates to convert your sight to 1/8MOA. They were $25 each last time I checked, so $50 total to convert both windage and elevation.

The European shooters do seem to use smallbore sights: Anschutz 7002; Hammerli; Centra lr.

Yes, we use this sights in Europe without trouble.

Do not doubt.
