Does anyone know if a FWB 800 basic rifle can have the velocity increased to say 700-800 FPS in .177 cal ?
Thank you,
Bob

Re: Feinwerkbau
I assume you're planning to convert a FWB 800 basic rifle into a FT rifle? I know it's possible, but I'm not completely sure if you'll only need a heavier hammer spring and some modification in the regulator to allow more air release.
Re: Feinwerkbau
Although you only need around 1.4 to 1.6 times the velocity, the energy required to achieve that velocity is 2 to 2.6 times greater. This usually means that you will have to do major work to the reg to get it to provide enough air. The fact that velocity is proportional to the square of the energy makes going faster in any sphere of endeavour difficult. To double the speed you need four times the energy. Personally I think this is why those 10 match rifles that have been successful in the world of FT have been substantially redesigned by the manufacturer to be so.

Hi.
You can ask your question at www.pimpmyairgun.com, they are specialised in FT conversion.
I think they have some P800X and even Pardini GPR1 converted to FT.
