Baikal izh46m converted from pump to tank using mp 672 part.
Does anyone know if its possible to convert a Baikal izh46m to a tank filled gun using the adopter used in the Baikal mp 672. They look the same except they took out the pump cylinder and added a screw on tank .https://youtu.be/Mqy_6ICUzLE

Re: baikal izh46m coverrted to baikal mp 672
My question is why would you want to convert the 46M into a 672? With the money spent on the conversion, you could easily pick up a second hand CO2 pistol from Feinwerkbau or Walther. They are light years ahead in comparison to the 672...

The izh 46m is easy to take apart and the pump cylinder unscrews and there is a seal at the bottom of it . It looks like from the video there is a threaded piece that screws into the tank . So all thats needed is the part that screws into the gun ,because the tank screws into that piece. I can't imagine the piece the tank screws into and a tank would cost very much at all. I think I'm going to try to order a tank and adapter and see if the threads are the same . If it works I guess I'll just keep it to myself. Your right why would anyone want to attach a tank that can shoot 100 shots with out pumping for probably less than 100.00 dollars . I got my gun back when it was 250.00 dollars so if I can convert it to a pcp with a tank and have a nice gun I can fill up and shoot 100 shots with for 350.00 dollars , Just call me stupid .

The fitting you show also has to include the pressure regulator to drop the variable pressure from up to 200 bar down to a fixed ~ 60 bar level. It's NOT just a funny looking threaded piece to screw the cylinder onto.

It's not only the pressure regulator, the valve housing where the air cylinder screws into is also different from the 46M. No way $100 is going to convert the 46M into a 672, unless you have your own lathe and you're capable of modding your pistol.izh46muser wrote:So all thats needed is the part that screws into the gun ,because the tank screws into that piece. Just enjoy your Izzy pumper and get yourself a second hand CO2 FWB or Walther...

I really don't mind the pump action . I just thought if it wasn't a big deal and didn't cost to much for the 2 parts I would give it a try. I figured the regulator was built into the piece that was sticking out that the tank screwed into, and who knows that piece might be the same thread size as the one that the pump cylinder screws into and if not and the Izh46m is bigger a double sided reducer would be all I would need . I'm a basement shooter , but just joined a Facebook page that just started up there he puts up a dead line time for the shoots , and you take your practice shots just like in a real match and after your practice shots you put up a new card and shoot your 5 shots or 10 shots what ever the competition is at the time ,and after you shoot 1 card or 2 cards or a complete match you take photos of your card with the info he ask for and you post it for everyone to see . It's pretty fun and you feel some pressure as your shooting because the card you put up after the practice no matter if you miss and your way out in the 4 or 5 ring you have to photo that card . Here is a link if anyone wants to check it out. he also has a link to the scores of the matches after they are scored with everyone's name that has sighed up . Its like a 10M Pistol Competition League And of course its on the honor system . https://www.facebook.com/10metercomp?fref=nf

The steyr lp2 tank fits the 672 and I found a conversion kit at this link http://www.benke-sport.de/epages/es9486 ... T%20LP1%22 and another adapter at this link http://www.pilkguns.com/masprlist.htm#apaircylinders scroll down to stryr accessories . So maybe for 200.00 dollars and thats including a tank .

Would never work. The valve of the izh 46 can not hold pressure after the shot. Since the valve and the trigger components work together, it would take replacing everything. Except the grip. You can probably save the grip.

Poogi I see what you mean , once you pull the trigger the air valve stays open till the trigger cocking arm is raised up and locks into place. And it would have to close back right away after the shot or the tank would just empty out . I know when the gun is cocked part #17 moves is moved forward and pushes parts 30 and 32 where the o-ring fits in between . the valve spring part 13 and the main valve part #9 that fits inside the valve spring has a nail head on the end of it,and behind that is part 17 the valve stem . when the gun is cocked the valve stem is moved forward and slides up and across part #14 the valve sear and once its cocked in so far the valve sear under spring tension raises up and locks behind part 17 . When you pull the trigger the part #14 is forced down and away from the valve stem and the valve spring moves in the backwards position and the air is allowed to pass through. It doesn't move forward again until part #57 the bolt lever is raised up and forces every thing in the forward position again . So they had to add a self closing valve spring in that area. I'll look into just how the 672 valve spring works and find out if its interchangeable .

Re: Baikal izh46m converted from pump to tank using mp 672 p
I shoot a Walther CPM-1 co2 pistol. And it shoots better than I can hold.
I was also looking at a Pardini co2 pistol.
These were lots cheaper than a CA pistol.

The cheapo and bueno guns with cylinders from FWB and Walther are the Model 2 and CP1. Their prices start from $350 or you could pay a bit more for a FWB 10 or C20, Walther CP2, CP3, CPM-1, prices will jump to $450-$550, you'll be getting a more refined gun. Prices are an approximate and can vary depending on the condition of the pistol and if it comes with accessories.izh46muser wrote:kevinweiho what is the cheapest used gun for basement shooting that has a tank . I prefer FWB over Walther since they have great aftermarket service and parts are still available for the above mentioned pistols.
