STEYR LP 10 QUESTION

I know the Steyr is one of the best 10 meter pistols in the world. My question is when exceeding your guns lower pressure limit do flyers occur or do pellets go more often in a certain direction. Do they stay centered but drop only or off to one side? Thanks Ron

Steyr changed the design of their cylinder gauges at some point:



Based on the old cylinders & feedback from other Steyr shooters, 80 bar is about as far down as you want to go on the new ones. That is consistent with my experience with Morinis as well.

What does it mean? Can you shoot tens also with 40 bars? Or is it simply cheating?

It's not cheating, but you'll only shoot tens if you can figure out how much to adjust the elevation of your sights between every shot.

Hi,

A while ago I sent my LP10 in for a service with Harry Preston and when it came back there was a statement that the regulator had been set up from 70Bar. I have found that I haven't noticed any drop off on pellet to that pressure. For practice I may shoot down to 60Bar and I haven't really noticed any drop of pellet impact either. Hope this helps.

However if you make an ammunition test, you will see huge worsening of the grouping much before you reach 70bars,,,, but this has been discussed in length in here.
