Hello, time again for questions.....
My FAS CF 603, which has worked flawlessly since I got it almost a year ago, has now developed a bad habit with malfunctions when clambering the round, it hits the edge of the chamber at the 12 o'clock position and only round no. 4 and 5.
I think the magasines are to blame, unfortunately new ones are not easily found anywhere, so I will have to do some work on the old ones and as a start I will clean them throughly to compare angles and sizes with each other.
Does anybody know, how to dismantle the magasines?
Thanks,
Keld

Re: FAS 603 magasine
Greetings,
Look at the small end of the magazine. The sheet metal is held in place on both sides with two dimples from the inside piece.
Carefully pry the outer shell away so that the dimple is out of the hole on both sides.
CAUTION. The unit is under spring tension.
Once the inner piece is free of the outer shell, continue to disassemble it. Note the orientation of all parts.
Clean everything in Kerosene or Mineral Spirits and you can attempt to adjust the "ears" of the magazine. If too wide, the cartridge releases too soon jamming at the top of the barrel.
The "ears" are heat treated so use great caution not to crack them. I did crack one and had to buy my welder dinner to get it repaired.
Contact FAS/Domino direct. Rumour had it that they were expecting a new supply of magazines for the 603 model.
