Looks like Walther have a more affordable KK300 model available.
About 1kg lighter and a less fancy stock but the price is good.

I wonder. Probably another joint product like the KK100?
And that has a bad rep..

No, exactly the same system like the KK300 Alutec, and also complete made by Walther in Ulm. Only the stock is (much) simplier. Here is the "official" english announcement:

Looks like a great starter rifle or a club rifle. Good use of manufacturing production, and marketing. I imagine it satisfies the low cost market niche, and will help sell KK300 alutec stocks in the future. Brand loyalty will also sell future KK 500 rifles. Smart marketing. I think Walther is raising the bar, and they is good for everyone.
