Hi,
For the first time since I've gotten into outdoor bullseye there is a "Distinguished Revolver" match near by. I just read rule 3.1.4 and it talks a LOT about no external changes. Does that include an upgraded rear sight on my Ruger GP100? The factory rear blade wiggles. I was going to upgrade my gun to a Rough Country sights and this match would be a good impetus to make the change.
thanks,
jab

Re: Help with Distinguished Revolver under NRA rule 3.1.4
Best thing is to send your question to Damien Orsinger at NRA Competitions. He'll probably forward it to Ken Boyd, the Chief Referee.
Clarification on Distinguished Revolver NRA rule 3.1.4
So I sent an email to pistol@nrahq.org and Damien's official answer is:
Thanks for the suggestion GovtModel.

Hmmm, maybe I can get it to stop wiggling with a stronger spring...Unfortunately that would be considered an external modification. If the rear factor sight wiggles, I suggest getting a new sight of exact same model so you are not modifying the gun and therefore eliminating it from use in DR matches.
Thanks for the suggestion GovtModel.
