Fretter's delight
For those cringing in terror at the ticking time bomb they hold in their hand, I gleaned this from the Classified section:

With the Euro worth about a buck right now, it's worth a shot.

Re: Fretter's delight
My German is pretty much non-existent. Do they indicate any sort of date for these? I'm guessing they are that price because they don't have much official service life left.
Re: Fretter's delight
Try to buy one from Pilkguns, and find out how good those prices are. The Euro is not worth what is was a few months back...."Doc"....thanks for the post Rover.

Run a translation app.
As far as I can tell with my high school German, these are NEW aftermarket cylinders available for many types of guns.
Many Europeans speak English (it's the latest lingua Franca), so send an email if interested.

Last time I held one of this cylinders, it had a clear marking of the date of manufacture.Gwhite wrote:My German is pretty much non-existent. Do they indicate any sort of date for these? I'm guessing they are that price because they don't have much official service life left.
Hope this helps
Re: Fretter's delight
Shipping looks like 60€ for up to 10kilos to the US. You could likely get 5 of these for the same shipping price. This could be a good deal for a couple of shooters or a club.
Re: Fretter's delight
1 EUR is $1.1445 on Paypal right now. That's almost exactly the average over the last two months.
Re: Fretter's delight
Essentially it is trading money with time. (2 to 3 weeks vs 2 to 3 days if you are in the US with Pilk). If you buy a lot then the trade will be worth it if you don't care about waiting for possibly 3 weeks.
Re: Fretter's delight
No, those are excellent prices. I'm not a fretter, but I'm probably going to buy two...my current tanks are expired non-manometer types.
Re: Fretter's delight
Good time to buy a SCATT, too, especially if you're already on the hook for shipping.
Re: Fretter's delight
$70 shipping to the US sounds like WAY too much. Surely there's a cheaper way.
Re: Fretter's delight
10 kg = 22 lbs. For 10 kg you can haul a lot of tanks overseas.
Last time is sent parts to the US, cost was approx. $20.- for 1 lb, deliverd in 7-10 days. With insurance it’s about $25.-. 1 lb is about the weight of 2 tanks.
The maker is a group of shooting enthusiats who is builidng tanks for other target shooters. They dont have any stock for immediate shipping. Schedule about 1 week until the order is ready to ship.

Re: Fretter's delight
Looks like the prices include the German VAT (MwSt) at 19% which would not, I think, apply to exported items. So, even cheaper!
