MQS is only a minor part of the problem. You also have to win a quota place.

I think it was a better use of funds to send the juniors to the World Championships where they could earn MQS for Rio and even hope to win a quota.
If they don't have MQS prior to the Olympic selection they can't shoot in the final. But I admit at that at the time I didn't understand why they wouldn't send kids to YOG.

And she was beaten soundly (9 points) by another US collegiate female, Alexis Lagan.
