Hello folks, its been a while. I am at the point where trigger weight actually means something ! I want to set up my GSP 2 stage trigger to a total of 1360 Grams.(ISSF) 800Gr first stage and 560Gr second stage. There is a lot of info on the Web and in the manual on setting the trigger up, but I cannot find anything on how to precisely set up the different weights on the separate stages. Do you set the 2nd stage first ? But then how do you set the 1st stage ? I know what hex heads to turn, but how exactly do you determine the "break" between the stages ? I am using 2 weights, 800gr and 560 gr, Can anyone help ?
Thank you
Cheers

Re: GSP 2 Stage trigger weight set up
First thing lad, the rule changed about four years ago and the trigger weight is now one kilo - same as for 22 events. Walther has details about setting the trigger on their website. I liked to have about 500 grams for each stage, set rather crudely with a spring gauge and finalized with weights. But then I've passed my Walthers on to my son in law.

Some non ISSF events still have the higher trigger weights.
Easy way to measure 1st/2nd stages.
Analogue gram dial gauge,1000-200-1000g or bigger 2000-300-2000g.

Good idea David, but the model you show is available through RS UK (Radio Spares as was) for £377! Similar devices are available from China on eBay for $50 but only up to 500g. Do you have a more economical source for the 1000g and 2000g versions?

I bought my second-hand Correx gauges, 1000g & 2000g, on ebay a few years ago.BobGee wrote:Good idea David, but the model you show is available through RS UK (Radio Spares as was) for £377! From memory, one was around £12 and the other around £20. One was bought from Germany and the other from Oz.
They come up on ebay every now and then, so just log a search for "Correx Gauge", and "Correx Gage" (in case it's being sold from North America).
