Hello, I'm new to the forum and my daughter is just getting serious about juniors. As stated above I'm considering purchasing a Walther LG300 from the early 2000's. It's a one adult owner rifle and is in nice shape. Is this an appropriate "beginner+" rifle for a petite 5'1" 15 year old? Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated!

If she is quite peteite then I would suggest that the junior stock would be a better option fit wise. Using an ally cylinder rather than the steel will also help move the CG back. My daughter started out with a Walther LGR which is the SSP, but the club was able to move her to a 300 XT Junior which she did really well with. ANY well maintained version of the LG300 will be fine until she reaches a pretty high level. She now shoots a LG400 Alutec. This rifle is not really that much intrinsically more accurate than even the LGR, just easier to operate. The imporoved action dampner may help a little I don't really know.
