G3R stock from Eastern Sierra Armory

Post by crasher »

I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase a pre-production G3R stock from Eastern Sierra Armory to replace a stock that one of my Juniors broke at a race last year. I'm thoroughly impressed with their latest version. I normally can not shoot standing very well with my right because of my cross dominance. But with the new stock I was able to consistently knock down 4/5 of the standing targets. Previously I've struggled with getting a consistent position and sight picture shooting with my right, at best I could do 3/5 if I really took my time. At some point I'll take a picture of the new stock against ESA's older stocks that I have on a few Savages. I have on order 4 more stocks with ESA, 1 for my LH Izzy and then 3 to replace original stocks on my 1427s. The 1427s have all been painted and a steel rod pinned in through the pistol grip.

It's nice to be able to have a fully adjustable butt stock and cheek piece.

I have to leave the safety on per club rules, otherwise that thing would have been gone a long time ago.

Great photos, thanks for posting them! I saw one at the West Yellowstone Ski Festival but didn't have a chance to examine it closely.

I just saw someone using this stock a couple of days ago in my local range..I was VERY impressed. The gentleman is a leftie, just like me.

Hopefully I will be getting my LH action for my Izhmash soon. I'll be sure to post pics of that once it's in.
