Offhand Air rifle settling

Post by smbore12 »

OK so I have been having an issue with settling on to target. I will bring the rifle up and then settle. It usually settles 1 or 2 inches below the bull. How would I go about fixing this? Thanks Smbore12

The seemingly simple solution, would be to adjust your stance to hold the rifle slightly higher.
- Changing the curvature of your back, to elevate your rifle.
- Moving your rear leg slightly rearward, to elevate your rifle.

Lots of things to help here ...
--As posted above , alter your stance
--Move your buttplate up ... will tilt the rifle up.
--You may have room for some "shim" under your support hand .... although you must still comply with rule 7.4.4.1(d), depth of fore end below centerline of barrel of 90mm max.
