Air Arms Alfa Proj grip removal assistance needed

Post by thwkman »

Greetings,

I just got an Alfa with the ambi grip. I took off the "Handle nut" and the grip loosens slightly but will not slide off.

Is there something else I need to loosen or remove? Their manual leaves a bit to be desired.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Have you contacted the seller? That's what "support," much-cited on this forum means.

The Alfa has a lot of design similarities with the BRNO Tau-7's. If that holds true for the grip mounting, that one nut is all that holds it together. The wood may have shrunk a bit due to humidity changes, and be stuck.

The grip is two halves so you could also need to gently pry them apart.

Edit: After you undo the nut where the air reservoir is, that is. Don't break your grips ;)

Thanks. That makes sense. My cellar is pretty dry with a dehumidifier.
