Factory Wadcutters for .32 SWL

Post by jerryg22 »

Prior to handloading I want to try out some factory rounds in a Hammerli SP20. Any recommendations between S&B and Magtech which are the two brands I can currently find in stock?

if you can find the fiochi it is very accurate , but very few 32s are at more than 25 yards with any ammo, the benelis are once you change the barrels but nt stock,

Factory Ammo

Post by fc60 »

Greetings,

Factory ammo will vary by lot number.

If I were buying commercial ammo, I would base my selection on the reloadability of the brass cases.

My first choice is Lapua, second choice Fiocchi.

I would not consider Magtech, S&B, Federal.

I have tested lots of Lapua, Fiocchi, and Magtech that shot very well at 50 yards. The same brands with different lot numbers shot poorly.

Cheers,

Dave

Lapua is normally really good.
The rest of the brands are crap. I would rather not shoot at all.

I think it is pot luck. Some one gave me some Lapua factory that was the worse I ever shot of anything. I don't know what the problem was but at least the cases were good.
