I have recently started doing a bit of 10m AR, borrowing my daughters Walther LG400. Rosie is quite happy holding with the 4.2 mm front element that is in the rifle. Personally I find it to be a little bit tight. I do not really want to play with the sight radius, even though there is a bit of room there to play with, as that would also change the tunnel/rear aperture relationship which I am actually quite happy with. Are the adjustable front irises up to the job of constantly being adjusted every time that I have a shoot? I have never actually used one myself. I know they are much more common in the SB game as you should be changing the element size to match the general light conditions that vary from day to day.
Any comments and of course preferences for which items people like the best would be welcome. Especially if you have one and alter it a lot. Also I should say that at the moment neither of us use a leveling bar, either AR or prone.

I use a Centra adjustable front iris on my Walther. It also has ring thickness adjustment. Choose carefully as there are 2 ranges of thickness adjustment and 2 ranges of iris diameters from x to x. There are also glass and clear open versions, so research the products first.
You can also check out Gehmann irises, which do the same thing.
