FWB 300 loose sight

FWB 300 loose sight
It looks to have a rivet holding it on instead of a screw. Is there any way to tighten? Thanks.
Hi,
as i remember right, there were three slightly different front sights on the FWB 300. The front sight base on all of them was clamped with a cotter key or a taper pin on the barrel. If there is no bigger sign of wear you can tighten the base with a pin punch.

there must be a reason for loosing the front sight base.
Maybe the recoilless system at your FWB 300 doesn't work anymore correct after that long time. So it may a good idea to take a closer look at the slide bearings of that recoilless system. There can dirt in and the lubrication can lost after long time.
Here is a link to some pictures showing the removal of a FWB 300. Especially the steps 4 and 5 and the pictures 6, 8 and 9 show the slide bearings from the front and rear side of the system.

By the way, the FWB 300 was a really nice match air rifle and was build forever. At their time they dominated not only here in Germany the match air rifle scene. Also their successor, the FWB 60X, was a milestone and a new era for the air rifle shooting sport.
