Well, that explains it!

A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members. In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells.

Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally, it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine.

I suspect that may explain the wonderfulness of me!

It is tempting to conjecture that the fact that you believe that hypothesis mitigates against its validity.

Rover,

It is a brave and noble deed you perform for your brain. A fine example that we all could learn from.

Carry On!

beer

Some brewers were in Europe for some kind of get together and 3 of them went to the local pub one night. Bartender went down the line asking for their beer order. First one got a Corona, the second a Coors and the third a Bud. They proceeded to tell how each one was so great. The Guinness guy came in, sat down and when asked what he wanted, he said a Coke. Everyone looked at him like he had lost his mind. They asked why a Coke. He said that since the others were not drinking beer, he thought he would not either. Enjoy. Don in Oregon-Shooter

He was right, but I used to drink rice based beverages when I was in the Far East.

The worst stuff was Shirasagi (?), made from sweet potatoes. Marines were sure it made you crazy and I didn't doubt it for a second.

Well, Don in Oregon (Shooter) should know! After all:

Oregon is top 3 in the United States
Number of Breweries
Breweries per capita
Craft Beer Production
Craft Beer Consumption
% of Draft Beer Consumed
(source: http://oregonbeer.org/facts/ )

So I'll just point out that OR tends the same way. (insert smiley face)
(not that OR and NJ have much else in common, though)

Actually Washington State is number #2 (We try harder) in number of craft beer breweries (Oregon a poor 4th and Arizona not even mentioned). The Left Coast has 3 of the top 4 spots.
