Well, here I am again - Walther LGR

Post by Tank »

Starting to feel like a bit of a fraud right now because I am asking, yet again, for help and I feel I would like to give. But as a wise friend said - that will come in tie.
After the kindness shown by a member by sending me the Drawings/manual for my friends FWB150 I am now rebuilding my own Walther LGR.
The gun is essentially unused - but that is half the problem, it has a bit of rust on all the places that had no oil and the old oil, in places, has dried to a hard film. I am desperately in need of a drawing or diagram, even an exploded pic would help. If anyone has any documentation at all I would be extremely grateful.
Thanks everyone for all your help.

Be careful. Nobody should be able to see signs of your work when you are done. It should look like it just came from the factory or better.

If you see any of my guns that it repair they are always immaculate and exactly to factory spec. I take great pride in my work.

Having said that, would anyone know what was the factory spec grease used on the piston and chamber?
I am minded to use Napier Gun Grease with VP90 but sometimes some of the older spec guns require older spec lubricants. Any suggestions from anyone?

Thank you as always and my special thank you for the links. I had of course tried the Walther site initially but the documentation for the older guns was not immediately obvious.
So thanks again.
