Specialty glasses that bring your eye's relaxed focus to the front sight are very helpful. Every decent shooter I know uses them.

Of course, there are many not decent, but I still have a beer with them now and then.

I think I have seen those lenses for rifle sights. Obviously these lenses will go onto a frame on your face

I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing, but what I have in mind is a pair of glasses with your regular distance prescription and about +.50 diopter added to bring the eye focus closer to you. This will make your sight sharp and the target fuzzy.
