FWB 700 universal shot count

Post by IainD »

Could anyone tell me what sort of shot count I should get from this rifle, I bought it a couple of months ago and have just found the time now to start to get to grips with it. I charged the cylinder to 200 bar and checked the velocity over the chronograph and it is on average 601fps, from what I have seen it is very good but dont want to get caught short as I only have the one cylinder and carting a 12lt dive cylinder all over the place is not so easy so I would tend to charge the rifle before going to the range for a session.

Thanks

Generally the pressure guage has colors on it and down near the low end is red or some color to indicate you should go no lower. From my experience just stay above that line. As far as the exact count goes It depends on the cylinder. FWB used to have two different cylinder lengths. You should get 150 shots or more though.

Always make sure it's full when you go shooting and you shouldn't have a problem. 150-200 sounds about right but it varies slightly from gun to gun..

I can get about 200 out of my FWB 700 without a problem. I usually refill my tank after each practice just to be safe though. In a pinch though, I can shoot two full matches with sighters and still be at around 90 or 100 BAR.
