Air Tank Problem

Post by CATME7 »

I have a small air tank that I used when I shot Air Pistol. Now, I have obtained a used Walther LG200 rifle. The adapter fits the air tank fine, but I cannot get any air into rifle air cylinder. When the valve is opened, air escapes out through an escape hole of the regulator, and no air goes into cylinder. Any suggestions?

Look at the face of the adapter. Does the center metal ring (inside the o-ring) protrude higher than the metal outside the o-ring?

If so, the center part may be bottoming on the tank valve, preventing the o-ring from sealing.

I have seen this on one other adapter. Solved the "problem" by filing the inner surface flush with the outside.

Hope this helps.

You're filling the cylinder when it's detached from the rifle yes? And then when you screw it back on the air comes out of the exhaust hole on the regulator? If so it sounds like the reg needs fixing.

See if you can borrow somebody elses Walther adapter and try to fill your tank. I recently had a problem with a fill adapter which looked exactly like a walther, but was out a few thousandths of an inch on the stem. Had me really confused before I figured it out - still not sure what the "faulty" adapter was from - it is amazing how things accumulate in the parts box!
